Wife, son of late Borno Dep. Gov. weep as Gov. Shettima pays them a condolence visit

Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima this morning paid a condolence visit to the family members of the deputy governor of Borno state, Zannah Umar Mustapha, who died in his sleep on Saturday August 15th. The wife and son of the late deputy governor couldn't hold back their tears. May his soul rest in peace. Continue to see more photos..

Police officers in the Kogi state police command, yesterday arraigned Mohammed Audu, the first son of former governor of the state, Abubakar  Audu, at the Chief Magistrate Court II, Lokoja, for alleged robbery and attempted culpable homicide. Mohammed and about 15 other members of his family were arrested by the police yesterday. Apart from the robbery and attempted culpable homicide charges, the police also arraigned him for charges like criminal conspiracy, causing grievous hurt, mischief, armed robbery and attempted culpable homicide, contrary to sections 97(1), 248, 327, 298 and 229 of the Penal Code Law.‎ He was said to have been detained on Wednesday September 7th after honouring the invitation of the men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad at the ‘A’ Division Police Headquarters in Lokoja. Residents nab a member of armed robbery gang terrorizing their community in Owerri, Imo State

A suspected armed robber was given the beating of his life by a mob in Oduobi crescent, Ikenegbu in Owerri, Imo state yesterday Friday September 9th, after residents took the risk to challenge the gang of armed robbers who invaded the business environment in broad day light. The suspect is said to be among a gang of robbers who terrorize residents of the area which is highly commercialized.
