These are challenging times for the Nigerian education sector 11 million children are out of school across the country This was disclosed by Professor Abba Abubakar Haladu The executive director of the National Agency for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, Professor Abba Abubakar Haladu has revealed that 11 million Nigerian children are out of school across the country. Professor Haladu made the disclosure during a visit to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at the Government House, Umuahia, Abia state. He also decried Nigeria’s dismal mass literacy record, even as he commended Governor Ikpeazu for his efforts towards curbing illiteracy in Abia state.
