American gospel singer, Kirk Franklin‘s beautiful daughter, Carrington married her college sweetheart, Maxx Nakwaasah on Saturday, October 1. Kirk-Franklin-and-the-bride-Carrington In a message on his IG page, the Smile singer shared a very beautiful and honest letter to Carrington, where he expressed the difficulty of letting go. In his words, “She’s getting married today…..and I’ve spent an hour and a half rewriting this. Crying, smiling, and preparing to let go, ….of my little girl. I will walk her down the isle, then I will officiate the wedding. Why? Because I’m selfish, for my little girl. And she asked her daddy to! How could I say no?! I pray I don’t make a fool of myself and cry more than I speak. The-singer-was-also-the-officiating-at-the-ceremony God, it’s so hard to release her. If I could I would keep her a little girl, FOREVER. Selfish, I know. But at this moment, I want to be. I want to go go- kart riding, jet skiing, middle school basketball games, movies over and over again….just me and her. This is hard as Hell. She has no idea, cause she’s not a daddy. I am. A proud one. I hope I was a good one. I’m sorry for that one spanking you got that killed me more than it did you! I’m proud and love your future husband. Jealous, but proud. He comes first now. I’ll have to get use to that, cause I’m selfish, for you. Only pictures get stuck in time, not people. They grow, and need to be let go…. Nigerian Paralympian Rolland Ezuruike wins Gold while Latifat Tijani wins Silver for Nigeria in Rio 2016

Nigerian Paralympian, Rolland Ezuruike won the first Gold for the country in the on going Rio 2016 Paralympic games, when he lifted 200kg in the men’s 54kg to beat China’s Jian Wang and Greece’s Dimitrios Bakochristos to the top prize. It is Nigeria’s first gold and the second medal in the games. The Gold medal was the first in the games for Nigeria but the 2nd medal so far. Latifat Tijani won the first medal by clinching a silver medal in the women’s 45kg power lifting event with a lift of 106kg. China’s Dandan Hu won gold with a lift of 107 kg while Zoe Newson of Great Britain won the bronze medal. Tijani entered the competition at 101kg, while other competitors attempted below 100kg. Tijani lifted 106kg to come second after going back and forth with China's Hu who eventually won  the competition by clinching a Gold medal.
