Suspected killers of soldiers in Nembe arrested

The suspected killers of three soldiers during a raid on a military post in Nembe, Bayelsa state on August 8th have been arrested by the special security outfit "Bayelsa Waterways Security Taskforce" led by ex-militant leader, Africanus Ukparasia. The killers dressed in white and pretending to be mourners, attacked the military post, carted away military arms, ammunition and a war boat... The two suspected killers were arrested at Olugbobiri community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State following a tipoff. They pleaded guilty to the offence and have narrated how they carried out the attack. Two members of their gang were killed during the shoot out leading to their arrest. Muslim bully, 35, violently attacks 16-year-old boy for cuddling his girlfriend in London street'

A 35 year old Muslim 'bully' Michael Coe attacked a 16-year-old schoolboy and branded his girlfriend a whore after spotting them cuddling in the street in East London, Southwark crown court sitting on Monday heard. According to the prosecuting counsel, Coe allegedly grabbed the teenager round the neck and threw him to the ground in the unprovoked attack. Coe apparently objected to the boy hugging his girlfriend, and then assaulted a passing teacher who witnessed the attack and tried to photograph Coe's car number plate. Prosecutor Jonathan Polnay told the court on Monday ; "They were standing on the pavement doing what some 16-year-olds do some of the time, cuddling each other in the street", said Mr Polnay. They had the misfortune that of all the people to drive by was this defendant." After thirteen weeks of entertaining culinary moments, Knorr Taste Quest IV has finally come to an end with NahviIfode emerging as the “Seasoned One”.  At the finale of the leading Nigerian cooking competition, six contestants were whittled down to three, who later battled it out in the final task which produced NahviIfode as the winner, Emmanuel Ehimen as the first runner-up and OluwaseunAkomolafe as the second runner-up. Aviation workers protest over Federal Govt's planned concession of airports

The National Union of Air Transport Employees, today, expressed their displeasure with the Federal Government's planned concession of four major airport in the country to private investors. According to reports, morning operations at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja were grounded as airport workers, bearing placards with various inscriptions, staged a massive protest from the tollgate to other parts of the airport.

Bauchi Police arrests over 50 criminals, rescues 49 hostages, recovers arms, stolen vehicles and domestic animals

Bauchi State Police Command has rescued 49 hostages, arrested over 50 criminals between 1st of July to date and recovered arms, cash, stolen vehicles and domestic animals. The suspects includes Thirty Five (35) suspected kidnappers, Ten (12) armed robbery suspects, Five (5) cattle rustlers, one Police impersonator etc. The Commissioner of Police (CP) Halilu .A. Gwandu disclosed this during a press conference on August 17th, to highlight the achievement of the command.
